| Solution | When a solid completely dissolves in a liquid it produces this kind of mixture |
| Suspension | Insoluble solid particles scattered throughout the liquid, after shaken, and settled out. |
| Atom | Smallest part of an element with the properties of that element |
| Compound | A pure substance consisting of 2 or more different kinds of atoms bonded together |
| Pure Substance | matter that has properties that are always the same.(1 set of properties) |
| Matter | Anything with mass and volume |
| Mixture | Matter with properties that vary in different samples.(2 or more sets of properties) |
