Computer/ Hardware Vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
Central Processing Unit (CPU) part of a computer that processes the data
File A place that can hold project, documents and other important thing that need to be stored safely.
Hard Disk A magnetic disk that is used to store computer data and they have quicker access than a floppy disk.
Hardware the mechanical, electronic, and electrical devices like, a computer system, disk drives, keyboard, or screen.
Input data that goes into a computer for processing
Memory the capacity of a computer to store information
Monitor a group of systems used to measure the actions of a computer system.
Mouse A device that you scroll on to move the arrow on the screen so you can click things
Network transmitting stations to broadcast
Operating System (OS) Collections of software that directs the computers directions
Output monitor printer communicates with you
Printer A device that prints what you desire to print
Program automatic solution of a problem by a computer.
Server a file server
Software The program used to direct the operation of a computer.
Web Browser a program that you use to see and explore info on the web.
