| Term | Definition |

| Commission | earnings based on how much a worker sells |
| Contract worker | employees of a employment agency who works for other businesses on a temporary basis |
| Deduction | amount of money taken from an employee's gross pay for taxes, insurance, Social Security, and other benefits |
| Education and training requirements | the instructional background and skills needed to qualify for employment |
| Fringe Benefits | extras provided by employers (other than wages) |
| Full time | working at least 40 hours per week |
| Global Economy | worldwide financial management system |
| Job benefits | the extras an employer provides employees in addition to pay such as insurance or paid time off |
