Working in the Industry

TermDefinition
career path A planned, logical progression of jobs throughout a person’s working life.
consulting An employment position in which an industry expert is called in to provide assessments and give advice.
disseminate To spread around, as in “to disseminate publicity.”
entry level What a job is called if it doesn’t require prior work experience, making it suitable for someone who is new to the field or has just graduated and is looking for a first job.
mean Another word for average.
salary Compensation paid on a regular basis.
service sector Part of the economy that includes travel, transportation, food and beverage, lodging, entertainment, and hospitality and tourism.
