Ground Transportation

TermDefinition
Amtrak The main railway company in the United States.
Greyhound The main intercity bus company in the United States.
high-speed rail Trains that travel hundreds of miles an hour.
intercity Transportation between two cities.
intracity Transportation within a city.
light-rail A commuter train that operates using an electric railway or overhead cable.
subway An underground railway system.
trolley A single train car that operates using a gas engine or electric system.
