What is a monochromatic color scheme? Tints and shades of one color
What is an analogous color scheme? colors on the color wheel that are next to each other
What is an accented neutral color scheme? accented neutral color scheme
What color scheme is 2 colors opposite of the color wheel? complementary
How many colors in a split complemetary color scheme? there are 3 colors in this type of scheme
Name the primary colors. Red, yellow, blue
Name the secondary colors. Orange, green, violet
What is the value of a color? amount of brightness and or darkness
What is the intensity of a color mean? the strength of the color
What is the hue? colors that have different wavelengths
How do you make a tint? by making a tint you add white to a color to make it lighter or add black to make the color darker
How do you make a shade? by using different tints of colors
What are the warm colors? Red, Orange, and Yellow
What are the cool colors.? Blue,Green, and Violet
What are the neutral colors? brown, black, white, grey,
What is unique about the primary colors? They are equal distance from each other on the color wheel
Name 3 tertiary colors red, blue, and yellow
What is the proper way to name a tertiary color? primary color then secondary (red-orange)
What is another name for a tertiary color? triadic
What is a triadic color scheme? colors evenly spaced out on the color wheel
