Thorax Special Tests

Special TestTests for...Positive (+) Test
A/P Compression rib cage fracture or other injury pain in the rib cage around the fracture/injury site
Lateral Compression rib cage fracture or other injury pain in the rib cage and around the fracture/injury site
Rebound abdominal trauma; internal bleeding pain felt with release (rebound) of pressure
Percussion/Auscultation abdominal trauma; internal bleeding pain with percussion, abnormal/absence of sounds, rigid abdomen
