Criterion Referenced Test test assembled by teacher to rank the performance of a student on a specific standard
Validity measures what it's supposed to do
Reliability Consistent; can rely that a student get a common score on a similar assignment on a different day
Kid-watching Observation
Anecdotal Record Notes taken on a student's progress; lists specific incidents in the classroom
Cloze Procedure A technique that deletes words or structures in a in passages or text and leaves a blank in that space. Student must then fill in blank using context clues
Readability The reading level at which the book was written
Lexile Measures progress in reading level; helps reading level growth; educational tool that is used to match text to a student's reading ability
