Netiquette Learning how to communicate with digital etiquette (i.e. using good manners, honesty, respecting others, acting appropriately when interacting with others online)
Sexting Sending sexually suggestive or explicit text messages, photographs, or videos by cell phone or other mobile device
Flame A deliberately mean-spirited message sent to others on the Internet (i.e. insulting, angry or offensive messages)
Proxemics The anthropological study of how people interact in space (i.e. Intimate, Personal, Social, Public)
Multimodality The different modes of human communication (i.e. text, audio, video, verbal or visual, etc.)
Interlational Communication Communication across social distances
Cyberbullying The use of digital media tools such as the Internet and cell phones to deliberately and repeatedly hurt, harass, or embarrass someone else
Meta-information Information about Information- (i.e. title, location, source, subject matter, etc.)- information about a document or web page
VR Virtual Reality- a computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a computer system using interactive software and hardware
Digital Community An online community whose members connect primarily through the Internet (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc.)
