Within HRM literature, what two types of criteria are often mentioned in setting the selection process? An ultimate criterion and an actual criterion
What is an "ultimate criterion? The ultimate criterion is a theoretical construct or abstract idea that can never actually be measured. It represents a complete set of ideal factors that constitute a successful person.
What is and "actual criterion"? The actual criterion,includes the measurable factors that constitute a successful person. For example, some organizations use the periodic results of performance appraisals or the number of days the individual was absent as actual criteria.
