The Consumer

TermDefinition
A consumer Anyone who buys goods and services for their own use.
Brand Is the identity of a particular product.
Symbol Gives us added information about a product.
Labelling All pre-packed food must be clearly labelled
Loss leaders When shops offer some products at very low prices to entice the consumer to buy their more expensive products
Receipt Is a written acknowledgment that a specified article or payment has been received. A receipt records the sale of goods or provision of a service.
Sale Of Goods And Supply Of Services Act 1980 An act that protects the consumer if they purchased faulty goods or services.
The Consumer Protection Act 2007 An act which protects the consumer if they have been mislead
