| Determined | Desire to do something. |
| Furious | Very angry. |
| Mission | A task/ something you must do. |
| Segregation | To be separated within race, sex, religion, etc. |
| Courageously | Bravely. |
| Commemoration | The act of remembering and respecting and important person or event in the past. |
| Reconciliation | Situation in which two people become friendly again after fighting. |
| Bitter | Jealous and upset because you feel you have been treated unfairly. |
| Rapprochement | Establishment of a friendly relationship after a period of conflict. |
| Inconsistencies | Situations in which two statements are different, and both cannot be true. |
| Incredulously | Being unable or unwilling to believe something. |
| Hick | Uneducated, a person who lives in the country, regarded as being unintelligent. |
| Deceased | A dead person. |
| Armory | A place where guns and other military equipment is kept. |
| Precise | Exact; following the rules or form. |
| Caravan | A single line of vehicles traveling together. |
| Intervals | Spaces. |
| Imposing | Impressive, due to size or power. |
| Salute | Greet formally. |
| Peered | Looked carefully or intently, with some difficulty. |
