Social Media Tools

ToolUsage
Twitter An online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called tweets. Registered users can read and post tweets, but unregistered users can only read them.
Snapchat A photo messaging application. Using the application, users can take photos, record videos, add text and drawings, and send them to a controlled list of recipients.
Instagram An online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.
Facebook A social networking website that makes it easy for you to connect and share with your family and friends online. Originally designed for college students, this tool was created in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg while he was enrolled at Harvard University.
Vine A short-form video sharing service. It was founded in June 2012, and microblogging website The service lets users record and edit five to six-second-long looping video clips and revine, or share others' posts with followers.
Diigo A social bookmarking website which allows signed-up users to bookmark and tag web-pages. Additionally, it allows users to highlight any part of a webpage and attach sticky notes to specific highlights or to a whole page.
Linkedin A social networking site designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish and document networks of people they know and trust professionally.
Pinterest A social website that users can upload, save, sort, and manage images known as pins and other media content through collections known as pinboards. Pinning is addicting!
Google+ A social network and social layer for google services that is owned and operated by Google.
Slideshare A web-based slide hosting service. Users can upload files privately or publicly in the various slide file formats: Slide decks can then be viewed on the site itself, on hand held devices or embedded on other sites.
