Living Organisms

What are the four characteristics of living things? Organization. Growth. Response. Reproduction.
What is growth? Living things increase in size. Organisms made of one cell do not grow as large as multicellular organisms. Organisms must have energy to grow.
What is asexual reproduction? A single parent produces offspring.
Why is a virus not alive? A virus is not alive because it does not have all four characteristics like Organization, Growth, Response, and Reproduction
What are some examples of organisms that share the four characteristics? A Rhino, Rabbit, Sunflower, Strawberries, Blackberry bush, and a Cat.
What is reproduction? Living things reproduce which means they form other organisms like themselves.
What is organization? All living organisms are made up of cells.
What is Binary Fission? Material from one cell is divided to form two cells.
What is Fungi? Reproduce with spores. (Come from top of Mushrooms.)
Which type of reproduction leads to greater diversity and why? Sexual reproduction leads to greater diversity.
What is responding to the environment? Organisms respond to changes in the environment.
