Return Address The address of the person sending the letter (sender). Includes street address, city, state, and zip code
Date The date the letter was writter
Inside Address Includes the following information of the person receiving the letter: first and last name, street address, city, state, and zip code
Salutation The greeting
Body The details of the letter; why you are writing it
Complimentary Closing Typically includes a closing phrase and is used to show respect and appreciation for the person reading the letter.
Signature Area Space for sender's signature
Reference Initials Initials of the person (other than the author) who keyed the letter for the sender
Enclosure Indicates another document is attached or enclosed with the letter
Block Style Letter Everything is left aligned
Modified Block Letter The sender's address and the complimentary closing are indented
Top Margin for a Business Letter 2"
1" Right, left, and bottom margin settings for a business letter
