Theory

TermDefinition
River Source The place where a river begins.
River Mouth Where the river enters the sea.
Tributary A small river that joins a large river
Cinfluence The place where a small river joins a large river.
Estuary The part of the the river which is tidal
Watershed The ridge that separates two river basins
River Basin The entire area drained by the river and its tributaries
