corrective maintenance Maintenance to identify and fix errors in an information system or software.
perfective maintenance Maintenance to enhance the information system or software to meet new requirements.
adaptive maintenance Maintenance to address other environment changes in an information system, such as operating system upgrades.
preventive maintenance Maintenance to increase system reliability and ease of further maintenance.
support contract An agreement that normally enables users to contact the system vendor or integrator for technical support and training, and sometimes for on-site troubleshooting.
