Social Networking Sites Allows users to communicate with each other and share their lives in a virtual community.
Cookie tracker Cookies let some websites remember information about you like your password and username. Cookies can make the website personalized just for you.
Hacker A person who gains unauthorized access to a computer
Virus Programs that can hurt your computer. A virus can create, move, or erase your files and cause your computer to not work properly.
Identity theft A crime where someone wrongfully gets and uses another person’s name and/or personal data in order to benefit themselves
Plagiarism Taking someone else’s ideas or work and claiming they are your own
Intellectual Property Creations of the mind: inventions, trademarks, novels, poems, plays, film, music, artistic works. Allows the owners of the creations to benefit. Protects their works.

Anti-Virus Software Filtering Software Anti-virus programs are designed to detect and remove viruses from your computer. Filtering software restricts and controls the content a user can see.
Malware Programs designed to do damage to computers.
Internet Search Engines Used to locate websites when users enter search terms or phrases.
Internet Domains A name used to identify a website.
