Key Terms

TermDefinition
Margin The blank edge that borders in which text and objects can be placed on a page.
Alignment The way the text or objects are lined up across the page
Default The setting that was determined at the time the program was created,is single spaced formatting
Header An area for text or other objects that will appear at the top of every page in the document
Footer An area for text or other objects that will appear at the bottom of every page in the document
Column Extends up and down a table
Row Extends across a table
Cell The intersection of a column and a row in a table
Merge Combine two or more cells to create one cell
