TermDefinition
management Is the process of accomplishing the goals of an organization through the effective use of people and other resources.
planning seting goals, and making decisions about what needs to be done.
organizing finding and arranging the work and resources needed to achieve
staffing includes obtaining, preparing, and compensating the employees.
implementing is the effort to direct and lead people to accomplish work.
controlling determines to what extent the business is accomplishing the goals it's set out to reach in the planing stage
management style is the way a manager treats and involves employees.Two very different styles often used by managers are tactical styles often used by managers are tactial management and strategic management.
leadership is the ability to motiviate individuals and groups to accomplish important goals
human relations is the way people get along wih each other.
influence enables a person to affect the actions of others
informal influence one or two people emerge as leaders o help get the group focused and organized
formal influence the person elected president has formal influence because the leadershp position is part of the organizaions structure.
ethical business practices to ensure everyone in the business are observed through the highest standards of conduct
vision statement what your business will do and why it will exist tomorrow and it has defined goals to be accomplished by a set date.(future)ex:I plan to bring my grades up. ex 2: my goal is to have good grades & keep up with family and friends too.
mission statement a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual(do)ex:I will focus & listen to the fullest of my ability.ex 2:I will do my best on every assignment.
