| Acceptable Use Policy | A set of rules applied by the owner or manager of a network, website, service, or large computer system that restrict the ways in which the network, website or system may be Used. |
| Operating System | The Operating System controls everything your computer/phone does, it manages the hardware and software resources. |

| Computer hardware | parts of the computer you can touch: keyboard, monitor, mouse, video card, etc |
| cpu | central processing unit. processes program instructions |
| ram | random access memory. Holds program instructions temporarily, loses all data when power goes out. when Ram is low your computer slows down |
| input devices | keyboard, mouse, microphone, scanner |
| output devices | monitor, printer, speakers, projector |
| bytes order | byte, kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte, terabyte |
| hertz | measures processing speed of the cpu |
| multitask | being able to use more than one program at a time |
