Characters

literary character terms

TermDefinition
Antagonist Principal character in opposition to protagonist (can be a force of nature/ society)
Protagonist centeral character/ hero in a narrative or drama- usually the audiences identifies this character
Flat Character characters who are described simply or undeveloped
Round Character a character whose personality/ back ROUND, motives and other features are fully described by the author
Dynamic Character A character who undergoes major changes as the plot unfolds
Static Character a character who remains the same as the plot unfolds
