Rhetorical Devices

Chapter 5

TermDefinition
Anaphora series of phrases begun with the same word to build tension or emphasize a point.
Repetiton repeating words to emphasize a point or add to dramatic effect.
Rhetorical Question question asked to make a point, not to recieve an answer.
Ethos adviertisment that appeals to expierence. Uses celebrties or actors.
Logos adviertiement that uses facts or logical thinking. Like statistics.
Pathos adviertisment that appeals to emotions.
