anonymous of unknown name
appropriate suitable or fitting for a particular purpose, person, and occasion
identify to recognize as a particular person or thing, to verify the identity of something/someone
harass to bother or pressure someone aggressively
inappropriate improper, not proper, not okay
non-identifying information that is common to many
online profile Internet posting of one’s characteristics or qualitiesinformation that is common to many
password A password is a combination of letters, numbers, and/or symbols that is used to log you in on a computer, e-mail, social networking sites, etc.
personal information information that describes a person’s identity such as name, date of birth, address, etc
pitfall A hidden or unsuspected problem or danger
predator one who stalks or uses lies or secrecy to get close enough to another person in order to easily hurt or harm him/her
risky potentially harmful to one’s emotional or physical well-being
screen name online nickname or identity
user ID same as screen name
user/screen names Never use any identifying information in your user name. This includes: Your real first and last name, address, location, telephone number, email address, inappropriate words, gender, no personal information: birthday, age, etc
