Understanding PowerPoint Fundamentals
| Term | Definition |

| Bullet | A small symbol that marks the beginning of a list item. |
| Layout | Controls how text and other objects are arrange on a slide. |
| Masters | Are like blueprints that control the layout and design of the slides, handouts, and notes. |
| Note pane | Provides an area for you to type speaker notes for the presentation. |
| Outline tab | Display the text of each slide in outline form. |
| Presentation | A collection of slides that communicates ideas, facts, suggestions, or other information to an audience. |
| Presentation software | Lets you prepare a series of slides that are referred to collectively as a presentation. |
| Slide | A single image composed of text, graphics, or other content. |
| Slide pane | Displays the slide currently selected in the Slides tab or Outline tab. |
| Thumbnails | Miniature pictures, of the slides in the presentation. |
