USB Storage Drive | A small, portable flash memory card that plugs into a computer's USB port and functions as a portable hard drive. |
Monitor | A device that displays signals on a computer screen |
Modem | A modem is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information, and also demodulates such a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information. |
Printer | an output device that produces a paper copy of alphanumeric or graphic data |
Flatbed Scanner | a type of optical scanner having a flat, stationary surface on which a page is scanned by a moving head. |
Hand Scanner | A hand held, generally low quality, device for digitising images |
Touch-Pad | a computer input device for controlling the pointer on a display screen by sliding the finger along a touch-sensitive surface: used chiefly in laptop computers. |
Joystick | a lever resembling this, used to control movement of a cursor or other graphic element for video games and computer graphics. |
Mouse | a palm-sized, button-operated pointing device that can be used to move, select, activate, and change items on a computer screen. |
Speakers | an electroacoustic device, often housed in a cabinet, that is connected as a component in an audio system, its function being to make speech or music audible |
Trackball | a computer input device for controlling the pointer on a display screen by rotating a ball set inside a case. |
Keyboard | a set of keys, usually arranged in tiers, for operating a typewriter, typesetting machine, computer terminal, or the like. |
Microphone | an instrument capable of transforming sound waves into changes in electric currents or voltage, used in recording or transmitting sound. |
Webcam | a video camera that inputs to a computer connected to the Internet, so that its images can be viewed by Internet users. |
Motherboard | a printed circuit board containing the principal components of a computer or other device, with connectors into which other circuit boards can be slotted. |
