Data Source | The file that contains the records or fields used in another document or file; could be a Word document, an Excel workbook, or an Access database |
Mail Merge | A process that combines a document with information that does not vary from one document to the next |
Main Document | The file used in a mail merge that contains the information that does not vary from one document to the next |
Merge Field | A placeholder in the main document in a mail merge that is replaced with data from the data source when you perform the merge |
Template | A predesigned file that you can use to create a new file |
Track Changes | A tool in Word that keeps a record of any changes your or a reviewer makes in a document by formatting inserted text in a color and underlined, and deleted and moved text in a balloon in the right margin |
Workgroup Collaboration | The process of working together in teams, sharing comments, and exchanging ideas for a common purpose |
