| Web Browser | A software program that lets you surf the Web. |
| Electronic Mail | A way that you can share information using the Internet. |
| Netiquette | The good manners someone uses in electronic communications. |
| Spam | Unwanted mail. Also called Junk mail. |
| Firewall | A hardware that protects a computer from hackers. |
| Home page | Allows you to see information, use links to other sites, or search for things. |
| Drill Down | To move from general information to more detailed information by exploring a series of folders, drop-down menus, or Web pages. |
| Site map | A index of all the main pages in the site that you can use to jump straight to without drilling down. |
| Bookmark | Is a shortcut stored in your browser that takes you directly to a Web page. |
| Favorites | A list of favorite websites. |
| History | The web sites you have visited. |
| Print Preview | Allows you to view a page so you can see how it will look when it is printed. |
| Search Engine | A special kind of Web site that lets you search for other Web pages using keywords. |
| Boolean Search | A search that uses keywords plus special symbols to find the excat information. |
