| Web Browser | A software program that lets you surf the web and interact with web sites |
| Electronic Mail | A communication sent from one person to another, or to many people, over the internet |
| Netiquette | The good manners someone uses on the internet |
| Spam | Junk mail |
| Firewall | A program that protects computers from viruses and hackers. |
| Home Page | The first page seen when you open your browser. |
| Drill Down | refers to a when you click a link or file on a browser or a webpage |
| Site Map | An index of all the main pages a site may have. |
| Bookmark | A shortcut that can be stored in your browser that can take you to a specific webpage |
| Favorites | Another term for bookmarks |
| History | refers to your browser keeping track of past visited websites and can allow user to access them |
| Print Preview | allows you to view what a page will look like when it is printed |
| Search Engine | a special type of website that allows you to search for other webpages using certain keywords |
