| Uniform Resource Locator (URL) | is every Web site's own address that no other site can use |
| Internet Service Provider | a company that sells you access to the Internet, usually for a monthly fee |
| Electronic Mail (e-mail) | another way that you can share information using the Internet |
| Netiquette | refers to the good manners one uses in electronic communications |
| Spam | like junk mail; it is sent in bulk to many people's e-mail acounts |
| Firewall | is hardware or software that protects a computer or network from intruders |
| Home Page | the first Web page you see when your browser opens |
| Drill Down | click a link that opens a new Web page within the site from your home page |
| Site Map | an index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page without drilling down |
| Bookmark | a shortcut stored in your browser that takes you directly to a Web page |
