| Internet Service Provider (ISP) | A company that sells you access to the internet, usually for a monthly fee. |
| Web Browser | A software program that lets you surf the Web and internet with Web sites. |
| Electronic mail (e-mail) | Another way that you can share information using the internet. |
| Netiquette | Refers to the good manners one uses in electronic communications. |
| Spam | Its like junk mail. |
| Firewall | Is a hardware or software that protects a computer or network from intruders. |
| Homepage | The first Web page you see when your browser open up. |
| Drill Down | To find more specific information |
| Site Map | An index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page without drilling down. |
| Bookmark | A shortcut stored in your browser that takes you directly to a Web page. |
| Favorites | In the Internet Explorer browser bookmarks. |
| History | The record of your Web sites you visits. |
| Print Preview | Allows you to view a page so you can see how it will look when it is printed. |
| Search Engine | A special kind of Web site that lets you search for other Web pages using keywords. |
| Boolean Search | To get even better search results. This is a search that uses keywords pus special symbols to find the exact information you want by eliminating search results that are too general or too broad. |
