internet service provider a company that sells you access to the internet, usually for a monthly fee.
web browser a software program that lets you serf the web.
electronic mail a communication sent from one person to another over the internet.
netiquette good manners one uses
spam is mail sent out in bulk to trick you into buying something that is either not real of fake.
fire wall a hardware or software that protects your computer from intruders.
home page the homepage of your browser.
drill down a way of finding more information.
site map the index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page.
bookmark a short cut stored in your browser that takes you directly to a website.
favorites bookmarks are called favorites in internet explorer.
history a list of pages you have visited in the past few days.
print preview allows you to view the page so you can see how it will look before it is printed.
search engine a special kind of web site that lets you search for other web pages using key words
Boolean search this is a search that uses key words plus special symbols to find the exact information .
