| Uniform Resource Locator (URL) | The unique or distinctive address of a Website. |
| Internet Service Provider (ISP) | A company the sells you access to the Internet usually for a monthly fee. |
| Web Browser | A software program the lets you surf the web and interact with Websites |
| Electronic Mail (e-mail) | A way that you can share information using the internet. |
| Netiquette | The good manners one uses in electronic communication. |
| Spam | Is like junk mail. It is sent in bulk to many people's email account. |
| Firewall | A hardware or software that protects a computer or network from intruders. |
| Home Page | The homepage is where you go first on your computer. |
| Drill Down | To find more information. |
| Site Map | An index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page without drilling down. |
| Bookmark | A shortcut stored in your browser that takes you directly to a Web page. |
| Favorites | Favorites is the name for bookmarks. |
| History | The record of the Web sites you have been. |
| Print Preview | Allows you to view a page so you can see how it will look when it is printed. |
| Search Engine | A special kind of Web site that lets you search for other Web sites using key words. |
| Boolean Search | A search that uses keywords plus special symbols to find the exact information you want by elimination search results that are too general. |
