World Wide Web Is the only one part of the internet.It is a way of accessing the huge collection of info.,services,and Web sites available through the Internet.
Web Site A specific location on the web that contains a collection of related files and resources by a person,group,or organization.
Uniform Resource Locater Is a web address for the Internet.
Internet Service Provider Is a company that sells you access to the Internet,usually for a monthly fee.
Web Browser Is a software program that lets you surf the web and Interact with web sites.
Electronic Mail Is another way that you can share information using the Internet.
Netiqutte The good manners one uses in electronic communications.
Spam Is a like junk mail.It is sent in bulk to many people's account.
Firewall Is hardware or software that protects a computer or network from intruders.
Home page The first web page you see when your browser opens.
Drill down To click a link that opens a new web page within the site.
Site map An index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page without drilling down.
Bookmark Is a shortcut stored in your browser that takes you directly to the web page.
Favorites When you click the web page name in the favorites list,the browser goes to that page immediately.
History When your computer keeps track of every web site that you have visited for the past days or even weeks.
Print Preview Allows you to view a page so you can see how it will look when it is printed.
Search engine Is a special kind of web site that lets you search for other web pages using keywords.
Boolean search This is a search that uses keywords plus special symbols to find the exact information you want by eliminating search result that are to general or too broad.
