Internet A gigantic computer network that connects to certain resources across the world.
World wide web It is a way of accessing the internet with your connection all the way across the world.
Web sites Certain sites you can gain a collection or many of things in ways. You can just look or even buy things off of websites.
Uniform research loader Every web site has its own address that no other site can see.
Internet service provider is a company that sells you access to the internet, Usually for a monthly fee.
Web browser software program that lets you surf the web and interact with websites.
Electronic mail Another way you can share information using the internet.
Netique Refers to the good manners one uses in electronic communications.
Spam Very similar to junk mail.
Firewall Hardware or software that protects a computer or network from intruders.
Home page The page that opens or shows up when you open your browser.
Drill down To find more specific information.
Site map An index of all the main pages in the site that you may use to jump straight to a page without drilling down.
Bookmarks A shortcut stored in your browser.
Favorites Another word for Bookmark. Shortcuts to your stored things.
History Shows your recent websites.
Print review Allows you to view a page so you can see how it will look when its done.
Boolean research Uses keywords plus special symbols to find the exact information you want by eliminating search results that are too broad.
Search engine Special kind of website that lets you search for other Web pages using keywords.
