My parents and I went to the movies Mes parents et moi SOMMES allés au cinéma.
The film was REALLY good. Jennifer Lawrence was the star. Le film était très bon. Jennifer Lawrence a été (or était) le star.
I didn't go to the museum. I don't like art. Je ne suis pas allé (girls - add "e") au musée. Je n'aime pas l'art.
We didn't go to a restaurant but we did go to my friend's house. Nous ne sommes pas allés au restaurant, mais nous sommes allés chez mon ami(e).
My parents stayed home. They watched a movie on tv. Mes parents sont restés à la maison. Ils ont regardé un film à la télé.
In my opinion, Christian Bale is better than Bradley Cooper. He's better looking (use "beau"), too! À mon avis CB est meilleur que BC. Il est plus beau, aussi!
Jennifer Lawrence is more talented than Amy Adams. (douée= talented) JL est plus douée que AA.
Why do you like action films? I like them because they're really interesting and they have good actors. Pourquoi aimes-tu les films d'action? Je les aime parce qu'ils sont vraiment (or très) intéressants et ils ont de bons acteurs.
What did you do after the movie? Where did you (both - use plura) go? Qu'est-ce que tu as fait après le film? Où êtes-vous allés?
We went to an adorable café in Paris. I ate crêpes and drank hot chocolate. My friend ate an omelette and drank tea. Nous sommes allés à un café adorable à Paris. Moi, j'ai mangé des crêpes et j'ai bu du chocolat (chaud). Mon ami(e) a mangé une omelette et a bu du thé.
I like to eat salads, because they're more healthy than pizza. Moi, j'aime manger des salades, parce qu'elles sont plus saines que la pizza. [You could also say, ".....parce que c'est plus sain."
At the restaurant, we talked about school, and then, we talked about the weekend. Au restaurant, nous avons parlé de l'école et puis, nous avons parlé du weekend.
I got back home at 10pm . My friend got back home around 9:30pm. (use the verb "rentrer") Je suis rentré(e) à 10 heures du soir. Mon ami(e) est arrivé(e) vers 9 heures et demie.
First, I get up and then wash my face and brush my teeth. D'abord je me lève et puis je me lave le visage.
I wake up AFTER I get up. It's too weird. And sometimes sort of dangerous. Je me réveille après que je me lève. C'est trop bizarre. Et parfois assez dangereux.
