A computer is an electronic device that accepts instructions from a user, processes and stores data, and produces output.

Motherboard main electronic component where processing takes place, CPU is here
Peripheral Devices accomplish input, output and storage functions
MicroProcessor / CPU Central Processing Unit, silicon chip designed to manipulate data
Bit / Binary Digits 1 "on", 0 "off" eight bits = a byte
5 Types of Memory RAM, Cache, Virtual, ROM, CMOS
3 Types of Storage Media Magnetic, Optical, and Flash memory
4 Components of data communication Sender, channel, receiver, protocols
4 Types of system software operating systems, utilities, deice drivers, programming languages
Malware malicious software, illegally accessing … computer systems for destroying, disrupting or carrying out illegal activities on the network or computer systems.
