| Alignment | Refers to the position of text between the margins. |

| Justify | Aligned on left and right evenly. |
| Center Align | Text lined up in the center of the page. |
| Bullets | Any small character that appears before an item. |
| Vertical Alignment | Positions text between the top and bottom margins of a document. |
| Mirrored Margins | Inside and outside margins. |
| Inside Margins | "Gutter Margins" Right margin on left page and left margin on right page. |
| Outside Margins | Left margin on the left page and right margin on the right page. |
| Indent | Space between text and a document's margins. |
| First-Line Indent | Only 1st line of paragraph indent. |
| Negitive Indent | Create by dragging left past left margin. |
| Hanging Indent | First line isn't indented but all others are. |
| Tab Stops or Tabs | Mark place where the pointer will stop when you press tab key. |
| Leaders | Solid, dotted, or dashed lines that fill the blank space before a tab setting. |
| Multilevel list | List of two or more levels of bullets or numbering. |
| Outline | A numbered multilevel list. |
