Data facts and statistics collected for analyzing
Cell the small rectangular box that holds data in an Excel worksheet
Row a series of cells moving from left to right of a spreadsheet
Column a series of cells moving from top to bottom of a spreadsheet
Table a series of rows and columns that make up a group of information
Chart a visual representation of worksheet data, also called a graph
Sum The addition of two cells
Difference the subtraction between two cells
Profit the amount of money earned subtracted by the amount spent
Deficit the amount of total money lost
Income the amount of money earned
Calculate to make a mathematical equation with two or more cells
Filter The process of setting conditions that only certain data is displayed
Formula the equation to a certain calculation, such as SUM
Legend the key of a chart or graph that helps a viewer read it
Pivot Table a data summarization tool that automatically sorts, counts, or arranged data
Gross Margin (%) = (Revenue – Cost of goods sold) / Revenue
