| Crop: | to cut off the sides of an image to make it the proper size or to remove unwanted parts of an image. |
| Fill: | to paint the inside of an enclosed object |
| Free Rotate: | allows you to rotate a graphic to any angle |
| Gray Scale: | represents colors with different shades of gray for use with a non-color printer |
| Grouping: | allows you to work with several objects as though they were one object |
| Handles: | little squares at the edges and corners of a select3ed graphic on your screen |
| Pixel: | a collection or series of dots making up an image or the display on a monitor (the more pixels the better the picture) |
| Resolution: | Refers to the sharpness and clarity of an image; it is measured in dpi (dots per inch) |
| Scaling: | Re-sizing images to fit your layout |
| Thumbnail: | a miniature version of a picture or page layout |
| Toolbox: | a collection of drawing and painting tools included in a graphics software package |
| Vector: | an image is stored as lines rather than a series of dots or pixels |
