word processing software is used to create and edit text documents

synonym are words that have similar meanings
format refers to the way the text looks and the way it is arrantged on a page
font is the shape of the letters, numbers, and other characters
orientation describes the direction of the page or the paper you will print on
alignment describes whether the text is lined up on the left, right, center, or accross the page
bulleted list a series of text that uses characters, such as dots or diamonds, to present information in no particular order
numbered list a series of text that uses numbers to present information in a particular order
margin is the space around the sides, top, and bottom of the paper
default a setting that the computer automatically selects unless you change it
tab is a set distance for moving the insertion paint
indent determines the distance of a paragraph from either the left or right margin
quotation is the exact words that someone else wrote or said
header shows i8nformation at the top of each page
footer shows information at the bottom of the page
citation the detailed information about each source
title page is a separate page at the beginning of a roport or research
desktop publishing allow you to use text, graphics, photographs, and other features to create newletters, brochures, webpages, and similer documents
word art is a feature in microsoft word that allows you to create colorgul, eye-catching text by taking you letters or words and changing them into a picture or graphic
table is a grid of rows and columns that orginizes complex information
colum is the information that is arranged vertically in the table
row is the information that is arranges horizontally
cell is where a column and row cross
