word processing a software that is used to create and edit text documents.
edit change or rewrite your documents.
proofread check to make sure the document makes sense.
cut remove it.
copy duplicate text.
paste place it in a new location.
synonym words that have similar meanings.
format refers to the way the text looks
font the shape of letters,numbers,and other characters.
orientation describes the direction of the page.
alignment describes whether the text is lined up on the left,right,center, or across the page.
bulleted list a series of tect that uses characters,such as dots or diamonds.
numbered list a series of text that uses numbers to present information in a particular order.
margin the space around the sides.
default a setting that a computers automatically selects unless you change it.
tab a set distance for maving the insertion point.
indent the distance of a paragraph from either the left or right margin.
quotation the exact words that someone wrote or said.
header shows information at the top of each page.
footer shows information at the bottom of each page.
citation the characteristics the define your data
title page a separate page at the beginning of a reprt or research paper.
desktop publishing allows you to use text, graphics, photographs, and other features.
word art a feature in Microsoft Word that allows you to create colorcul, eyecathing text.
table a grid of rows and columns that organizes complex informaton.
column the information that is arranged vertically
row information that is arranged horizontally
cell where a column and row cross.
