How does texture affect color? Smooth surfaces reflect more light and making the color lighter whereas, rough surfaces absorb more light and making the color darker
What do curved lines suggest? Adds a soft and graceful effect.
What is the difference between horizontal, vertical, and radial balance? Horizontal, left and right parts are equal, Vertical, top an bottom parts are equal, and Radial, Elements radiate out of design
What do diagonal lines suggest? Action, movement, and excitement
What is space? The area provided for a particular purpose
What are the four types of rhythm? Radiation, gradation, repetition, and continuous line
What is an asymmetrical balance example? the same type of light on both sides but one big picture frame on one side and two smaller picture frames on the other side to balance it out
What is the difference between horizontal and vertical? Horizontal is sideways and Vertical is up and down
What is the golden mean? 3 to 5 ratio

What are four types of lines? Curved, Diagonal, Horizontal, and Vertical
What is proportion? How the design is visually divided

What is the symmetrical balance example? Plants, insects, and humans
What is emphasis? What is another name for it? one object or item stands out, and another name for it is focal point
What happens when you use a continuous line? Design creates a continuous line for the eye to follow and creates a bigger looking space
What is another name for symmetrical balance? Formal
What is another name for asymmetrical balance? Informal
What is the difference between gradation and radiation? Gradation is the difference in sizes and Radiation of coming out of the design
