Definitions of chapter 1

TermDefinition
Business Commercial /non-commercial An organisation that provides a good/service. A commercial business aims to make a profit eg apple where as a non-commercial business is set up to meet the needs of people eg a cancer research charity shop
Stakeholder A person who is affected by the decisions made by a business eg employee and competitors
Investor Is the person / organisation that provides finance for a business
Equity Grants Loan capital A person who invests money in return for a share eg venture capitalists Grants are moneys that are issued by the gov. today doesn't gave to be repaid so long as they meet the criteria Finance provided by banks in return for repayment with interest
