homeostasis a state of equalibrium within the body maintained throguh the adaptation of ody systems to changes in either the internal or external enviornment
vital signs assesments if purse, respiration, blood pressure, and temperature, body function essential to life
pulse a vital sign: a quantitative measurement of the heart beat using the fingers to palpate n artery or a stethoscope to listen to the heart beat
respiration breathing, the process of bringing oxygen into the body and expellin carbon dioxide from the body
blood pressure the pressure exerted by the circulating blood against the walls of the arteries
core temperature the internsl body temperature
