| genuine | no legal meaning |
| pure | no legal meaning unless followed by a percentage |
| wholesome | prepared in a sanitary environment |
| refined | just the pure product |
| enriched | nutrients removed during processing, added back in later |
| fortified | nutrients added that weren't originally in the product |
| supplement | nutrients were added to more than 50% |
| USRDA | united states recommended daily allowance |
| RDA | recomended daily allowance |
| calorie | the amount of energy it takes to heat 1 gm of water. |
| Calorie | the measure of the amount of energy in food |
| glycemid index | measuer of how quickly a food raises the blood sugar levels |
