Landform vocab.
| Term | Definition |

| Plain | A large area of land that is flat and it has no trees. |
| Tributary | A stream or river that flows into a lake or larger river. |
| Glacier | A large body of ice slowly moving down a valley or a slope. |
| Strait | A narrow channel of water that goes into two larger bodies of water. |
| Island | A area of land completely surrounded by water. |
| Peninsula | A strip of land that connects to a larger piece of land and goes into a body of water. |
| Plateau | A flat highland with a steep face. |
| Delta | A triangle shaped piece of land formed when a river splits into smaller rivers before going into the ocean. |
| Isthmus | A narrow strip of land with water on both sides that joins two larger pieces of land |
| Rift | A huge crack in the earths surface. |
| Bog | Is wet spongy ground. |
| Floodplain | level land that can be flooded by water |
| Archipelago | A cluster of islands in open sea, formed by erosion. |
| Fjord | A narrow entry of water that flows though mountains or land forms. |
