| Internet service provider (ISP) | A company that provides access to the Internet, usually for a monthly fee. |
| Web browser | A software program that can surf the Web and Internet with Web sites |
| electronic mail (e-mail) | A communication sent form one person to anoyhe over the Internet. |

| spam | Unwanted e-mail sent by an unknown person or business |

| bookmark | A shortcut that takes you directly to a web page. |
| Favorites | Internet Explorer's term for Web site book marks. |
| Histroy | A record kept by a browser of every web page visited in the past few days or weeeks. |
| Print Preview | A browser function used to see how a document or Web page is going to appear on a paper. |
| search engine | A web site used to seek out other web page using keywords. |
| Boolean search | A search that uses keywords plus special symbols to find more exact results. |
