web site a specific location on the web that contains a collection of related files and resources by a person,group, or organization.
uniform resource locater (url) the unique address that will take you directly to the web site.
internet servic provider (isp) a company that sells you access to the internet, usually for a monthly fee.
web browser a program that lets you surf the web and interact with web sites.
electronic mail (e-mail) a comunication sent from one person to another person,or group over the internet.
netiquette the good manners one uses in electronic comunication.
spam junk mail that is sent to people to sell you stuff.
home page the page that allows you to search easier.
drill down you click around to find reliable information and other links.
site map an index of sites that you may use instead of drilling down.
bookmark a shortcut that takes you directly to a web site.
favorites a list that takes you to the favorited site.
history a record of the sites youve visited.
print review it is what allows you to see what a page will look like when it is printed.
search engine a speciol web site that lets you search for other web sites using keywords.
boolean search this is a search that uses keywords plus special symbols.
