12 Vocabulary Words

TermDefinition
Commitment Caring deeply about something or someone. It is deciding carefully what you want to do, then giving it 100%, holding nothing back. You give your all to a friendship, a task, or something you believe in. You finish what you start. You keep your promises.
Confidence Having faith in someone. When you have this in someone else you are able to rely on them.
Courage Bravery in the face of fear. You do the right thing even when it is hard or scary.
Creativity The power of imagination. Discovering your own talents and using them in new ways.
Determination Focusing all of your energy and efforts on a task and sticking with it until it's finished. Using your will power to do something when it isn't easy.
Integrity Living by your highest values. Being honest and sincere. When your words match your actions.
Labor Market The exchange of workers seeking jobs and employers seeking workers.
Gross Wages The total amount of your pay before any deductions are taken out of your paycheck.
Benefits Things that employers offer you in addition to your salary. (i.e. health insurance, sick leave, tuition reimbursement)
Working Conditions The environment in which you work including amenities, the physical environment, stress and noise levels, etc.
Qualifications Abilities, characteristics or experience that make you suitable for a job.
Experience Knowledge or skills that you get from doing, seeing or feeling something. What you get from actually working.
